The Principality of Monaco is an interesting place to visit this fall. It gets a little crowded in spring and summer and a little cold in winter, but in autumn Monaco is the perfect place for a quick European getaway. Here are five reasons to visit Monaco this fall:

The weather is perfect

Winter in Monaco is quite wet, while spring is plagued by strong winds, and high temperatures combined with humidity make the weather unmerciful in summer. On the other hand, the months between September and December are absolutely gorgeous. The weather is perfect for all kinds of outdoor activities, be it sailing, shopping or just eating outdoors.

Summer shutdowns in France and Italy are finally over

People who regularly visit Europe on business know that summer is not a time to run errands. This is especially true in southern Europe, when people in France and northern Italy head to the Mediterranean coast in search of relief from high temperatures. Monaco’s excellent position between the French and Italian Riviera means it can get terribly crowded in summer, especially in August and early September. Long lines at restaurants, bars and shops can make Monaco a stressful high season experience. All of this changes at the end of September when you can enjoy the yacht marina, excellent restaurants and the world famous Monte Carlo Casino no crowds or traffic. To experience the true luxury of Monaco, you must visit it in the fall.

Monaco Yacht Show

Although the crowds are disappearing after summer has passed, that doesn’t mean Monaco is closing. On the contrary, the most prestigious and exclusive events on the Monaco calendar are held in the fall, the first being the Monaco Yacht Show. The Monaco Yacht Show this year runs from Sunday 28th September  – 1st October and it will feature great yachts as well as luxury cars and even helicopters. If you’ve ever wondered how the super-rich live, this is the place to find out there.

6th Monte-Carlo E-Rally

E-Rally Monte-Carlo, from Wednesday 26 to Sunday 30 October 2022, is an authentic regularity road race reserved to 100% Electric Vehicles (excluding any use of range extenders) and 100% Hydrogen-powered cars. It is now very appreciated by car manufacturers and race teams who are eager to show, in a real and tough environment, the technological and innovative potential of their vehicles. Its new name comes back to 2016, following previous editions called “Rally Monte-Carlo for Electric Vehicles” (1995 to 1999), then “Rally Monte-Carlo Fuel Cell & Hybrids” (2005, 2006), Rally Monte-Carlo for Alternative Energy Vehicles (2007 to 2011) and Rally Monte-Carlo for New Energies / Rally Monte-Carlo ZENN (2012 to 2015). This 6th edition of E-Rally Monte-Carlo will be an event of the 2022 FIA eco Rally Cup calendar.

Monaco Jazz Festival

The Monte Carlo Jazz Festival, which will take place from November 9 to December 4, is a series of concerts taking place at the Opera Garnier and in the open air of Place du Casino.

Casino in Monte Carlo

The Monte Carlo casino is the most glamorous in the world and is known as the fictional James Bond playground . Early fall is the best time to visit as there are several exhibitions that allow you to admire world-class art while having fun. Weather permitting, the open-air Salle Blanche offers great views of the blue waters of the Mediterranean Sea and roulette, Punto Banco, poker and Black Jack. Fans of slot machines will enjoy the Salle des Amériques, which has to be the most elegant gambling hall in the world. Roulette players will be attracted to Salle Médecin. Will you be the next big winner at Monte Carlo Casino? It will certainly be fun to find out.
